From Lea Michele to Naomi Watts, the stars definitely stepped up the glam factor at this year's Tony Awards. Of course, we had our eyes all over the red carpet so we could bring you the most notable fashion highlights. We fell in love with Lea's strapless yellow Zac Posen dress the moment we caught sight of it on the red carpet. Unfortunately, though, we can't say the same about the rest of her look. Lea's updo with straight bangs just didn't complement the romantic style of the dress (we would have much preferred a loose and wavy hairstyle), and the lipstick was about 10 shades too dark. Even still, we're willing to cut the girl some slack, if only because her dress was one of our favorites from the night.
While Lea's look needed some improvements, Scarlett Johansson was pretty much perfect from head to toe. Scarlett, who recently made the cut on our 2010 Movie Awards best dressed list, looked fantastic in a dazzling dark green Elie Saab gown. Another win for Scarlett (you know, in addition to the Tony she took home and her hot date: her husband, Ryan Reynolds!)
We had to do a double-take when we saw Katie Holmes, who presented at the Tony's with the always cute Daniel Radcliffe, because for a second we thought we were looking at Joey Potter all over again (paging: "Dawson's Creek"!). Seriously, Katie looked very youthful (maybe because of the long hair?). As for her Giorgio Armani Privé, it was pretty, but we really it but wish it had been a few inches longer.
Naomi Watts stole the spotlight next to Liev Schreiber, in a RM by Roland Mouret dress which defined elegance. We loved the long sleeves (totally against the norm!), the simple black belt and the all-around flattering cut of the gown.
